The ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand is well-known in the PC enthusiast community for its products that are tailored to gamers and power users. In addition to its product lineup, ROG frequently collaborates with other leading brands to deliver specialized components that meet the brand’s rigorous standards. Their latest collaboration is with Klevv, a brand highly regarded for its innovative memory modules, resulting in the ROG-certified Cras V DDR5 RGB memory module.
While we’ve previously reviewed the standard Cras V DDR5 RGB, this ROG-certified version promises enhancements specifically tuned for ASUS motherboards and ROG systems. The ROG edition boasts refined compatibility and performance optimization, tailored for seamless integration within ROG setups. As for whether the ROG-certified Cras V DDR5 RGB offers a measurable advantage over the standard model, the test results will be the final judge to see if it lives up to the hype.

The CRAS V RGB ROG CERTIFIED DDR5 memory kit from Klevv is a high-performance, gaming-focused solution optimized to enhance the potential of ASUS ROG systems. Available in two configurations—16GB x 2 and 24GB x 2—it is engineered to deliver impressive memory speeds, starting with a base clock of 7200MT/s. With a compatible ROG motherboard, it can reach speeds of up to 7400MT/s.
In terms of design, the CRAS V RGB ROG CERTIFIED DDR5 features a 2mm-thick aluminum heatsink with a color scheme that complements the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex and Z890 Apex motherboards. The heatsink’s low-profile height of 44mm improves compatibility with a broader range of CPU coolers and cases, allowing for easier integration into compact builds while still delivering effective cooling for the memory kit.

Memory Overview
Just like the standard CRAS V RGB, the ROG-certified CRAS V RGB also supports both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles. We tested the kit on both the ROG Crosshair X870E Hero and ROG Maximus Z890 Apex, and it ran flawlessly with both EXPO and XMP profiles enabled. This can be further improved by tightening the timings but your mileage may vary depending on the motherboard and CPU used.

Since most ROG motherboards come with a built-in DDR5-7600 preset, we tested the kit using this setting. Only a slight voltage adjustment was needed to achieve stable performance, applicable to both the ROG Crosshair X870E Hero and ROG Maximus Z890 Apex.

We also tried pushing the kit further on both platforms and managed to reach a stable DDR5-8000+ after multiple attempts. With the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and ROG Crosshair X870E Hero combination, we achieved DDR5-8400, while the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and ROG Maximus Z890 Apex combination allowed us to reach a slightly higher memory frequency of DDR5-8600. Although we could post at DDR5-8600 on the Ultra 9 285K and ROG Maximus Z890 Apex, we couldn’t achieve enough stability to boot into the operating system.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Klevv CRAS V RGB ROG CERTIFIED DDR5 lives up to expectations, offering impressive performance paired with a visually stunning design. Its excellent overclocking capabilities and customizable RGB lighting make it a compelling choice for users who value both aesthetics and functionality in their builds.
While the CRAS V RGB ROG CERTIFIED DDR5 comes with a slightly higher price of RM 689 compared to the standard CRAS V RGB DDR5 at RM 589, the extra cost is well-justified. The ROG certification ensures seamless compatibility with ASUS ROG motherboards, providing added reliability and performance when paired with those systems. However, it’s important to note that the ROG certification does not mean it’s exclusive to ROG motherboards—this memory kit will perform just as well on boards from other brands.
In conclusion, the CRAS V RGB ROG CERTIFIED DDR5 is an excellent choice for enthusiasts and power users looking to optimize every aspect of their build. It’s easily one of the DDR5 memory kits that we will not hesitate to recommend for those seeking high-performance memory with room for further tuning.
