The Predator League 2025 Malaysia Qualifier Finals concluded with Team Myth Avenue Gaming (MAG) and Team Unsigned5 earning their places as Malaysia’s representatives for the upcoming APAC Predator League 2025.
In the Dota 2 competition, Team MAG displayed exceptional dominance, defeating Team Odd Taxi with a commanding 3-0 victory in the finals. Their strategic approach of creating diversions to support their carry player proved highly effective. The team maintained an undefeated record throughout the tournament, including a 2-0 win in the semifinals.
The VALORANT tournament saw Unsigned5 claim victory in an intense battle against Team Todak. After fighting their way up from the lower bracket, Unsigned5 secured a 3-1 win in a grueling three-hour final match that began with both teams tied 1-1.
Both championship teams received prize packages worth over RM20,000, including RM10,000 in cash and Predator merchandise valued at more than RM11,000. Runners-up Odd Taxi and Team Todak each received RM12,000 in total prizes, with RM8,000 in cash.
Adding to Malaysia’s representation, Grills Gaming, the country’s premier all-female esports team, received a direct invitation to compete in the APAC Predator League 2025 Dota 2 finals. The team, established in 2016, gained international recognition after winning gold at the 2023 Global Esports Games, defeating Peru in the finals.
The APAC Predator League 2025, scheduled for January 11-12, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, will feature teams from 14 regions competing for a USD 400,000 prize pool. The event promises more than just competitive gaming, featuring entertainment including performances by Malaysian singer Aina Abdul and international celebrities. The tournament will also showcase cosplay, with 10 winners from the Malaysia qualifiers’ Coswalk Competition set to participate in the regional event.
