ASUS has announced it will be shipping its latest range of servers that comes packed with Intel Xeon 6 processors.
Designed for current-day demands for HPC, the lineup includes the multi-node ASUS RS920Q-E12 with Intel Xeon 6900 while the ASUS RS720Q-E12, RS720-E12, and RS700-E12 models go for the Intel Xeon 6700 series processors with E-cores for more quantized workloads.
For the latter, ASUS revealed that in Q1 2025, other SKUS with Intel Xeon 6700/6500 series with P-cores will be launched respectively.
These powerful new servers build on ASUS’s trusted and resilient server design, offering enhanced scalability for customized data centers. They enable organizations to expand their infrastructure and maximize computing potential, positioning them to achieve HPC success across various industries and use cases.
In terms of addressing the increasing demand for AI training and inference, the ASUS ESC I8-E11 accommodates 8x Intel Gaudi 3 AI OCP Accelerator Module (OAM) mezzanine cards as well as 24x RoCE 200GbE RDMA NICs on each Intel Gaudi 3 accelerator to go with 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors. The major highlight of it is the modular design capable of reducing cable usage, improving assembly time, and thermal optimization. It also features high power efficiency with redundant 3000W 80 PLUS PSUs, ensuring reliable performance for deep-learning applications.
Meanwhile, the ASUS RS920Q-E12 is optimized for peak performance, featuring Intel Xeon 6900 series processors along with up to 96 DDR5 RDIMM 6400MT/s and MRDIMM Gen1 8800 MT/s per 2U system. This server is designed for heavy workloads, ensuring efficient data processing and management. Its advanced liquid-cooling system ensures stability in demanding environments like HPC and cloud computing.
Similarly, the RS720Q-E12, equipped with Intel Xeon 6700 series with E-cores or Intel Xeon 6700/6500 series with P-cores, is engineered for optimal resource utilization and reliability. With a focus on balancing resources for I/O throughput and storage management, this server is ideal for complex semiconductor EDA workloads, providing scalability and efficient performance.
Lastly, the ASUS RS720-E12 and RS700-E12 are general-purpose servers built with the modular DC-MHS architecture, ensuring smooth integration for modern data centers. These servers, with Intel Xeon 6700 series E-cores or Intel Xeon 6700/6500 series P-cores, feature DC-SCM- a versatile baseboard management controller module that enhances flexibility and security.
RS720-E12 is optimized for GPU support, making it suitable for demanding graphical and computational tasks. The inclusion of Intel Xeon 6 processors ensures the server can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while enhancing data transfer speeds and minimizing I/O bottlenecks.
For rapid deployment and exceptional value, the RS700-E12 delivers high-speed data access with all-NVMe storage, multi-core processors, and large memory capacity. It efficiently handles large data demands, enabling swift multitasking and complex workload processing.
